Shopping streets and shopping malls
Glasgow
is a great city for quality shopping. The
city is the second largest shopping centre in the UK
after the capital, London. Here you'll find the main designer stores
such as Versace, Ralph Lauren, Armani, Urban and Monsoon.
The main shopping areas are on
Buchanan Street and Argyle Street.
A range of shopping malls includes
the chic Princes Square (with the most
elegant and fashionable
shops in the city) and the Argyll Arcade (one of Britain's
oldest
covered shopping arcades) on Buchanan
street, the new Buchanan Galleries and
the enormous St Enoch Centre on
St Enoch Square.
Outwith the city centre, the West End
offers
an intriguing range of craft and art shops.
The weekend Barras market, to the east of
Glasgow Cross, is also well worth a visit.
